Sweet Pea had a tough beginning. She was pregnant and came from a hoarding situation with horrible living conditions. She was never solicalized, therefore, is completely afraid of strangers.  She has high trust issues. She has warmed up to those of us who care for her. She loves to give kisses to your hand and gets very excited when she sees us, but that's as far as it goes. Her want to feel affection is obvious but her ability to accept it is low. She needs someone with patience, understanding, and  willingness to give her space and time to trust and hopefully one day allow the touch of affection.
Update:
Sweet Pea enjoys the company of her roomates and has started joining them out in the dog park. She goes by way  a crate. When they are done, she then goes back in the crate and brought back to her housing area. She does this with no problems.

One of our employees has started fostering Sweet Pea. She goes back and forth from home to the kennel and joins the other dogs in play group. We have high hopes Sweet Pea will be open to some affection.

 

   

Marshmellow is a fun-lovin, happy girl. She is approx. 2 yrs old.

This beautiful girl is a Great Pyrenees/Maremma/Border Collie/McNab mix, just under 2 years old, and she’s searching for her forever home—or a loving foster in the meantime.

​Harper is a total love bug once she gets

to know you. She was deeply loved by

her family, but sadly, her mom passed away, and her dad is no longer able to care for her. Because she spent much of her early life indoors with limited exposure to the outside world, Harper can be a bit shy at first. With a little patience and kindness, though, she blossoms into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion.

She’s currently working with a professional trainer, and her future adopter will receive lifetime training support to help set everyone up for success. Harper has been making great progress—she’s been getting out to explore, meeting new people, and building confidence along the way. She enjoys leisurely strolls through vineyards, rides beautifully in the car, and loves tagging along for everyday adventures. While she’s still gaining confidence around off-leash dogs, she does very well passing other dogs calmly on leash.

  Introducing Winston...

Winston is one of 58 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation. He is a Long haired Chihuahua mix. He was very shut down upon arrival. He was never socialized with people.

He has been in a foster home and doing very well. He has a buddy to play with. He has bonded quickly with the foster mom. 

He is ready for a home of his own. 

He will do fine with another dog in the home.

  Okapi is currently in a foster home recovering from surgery. She severely fractured her growth plate. We are looking for a temporary foster home who has the time to give her the care she needs. Recovery time is about 4 to 6 weeks.

Okapi is doing really well. The pins were removed from her leg and the bandage is off. She is so happy to be walking around and not have to wear the cone on her head.

She is a very loving puppy. Super friendly and playful. We are accepting applications for adoption or if you would like to foster her.

She did an incredible job raising her little family, and now that every puppy is thriving, it's finally Mystery's turn to be the one cared for and loved.
